Canadian for a Night

I guess I should start first and foremost with the following disclaimer:
This has no intention of making fun of Canada, Canadians, their beautiful country or anything else. We just wanted to pretend we were from somewhere more awesome than Mesa. Please don't take offense.

That being said, the night after Second Friday Fall Fun, Kelsey, Anthony, and myself had a glorious idea.
It started with the simple suggestion of wearing back-in-the-day sweaters to Suite 301 (our favorite club ever. Seriously ever).
And from there our little idea grew into a beanstalk, and oh did we climb that beanstalk.
We were Canadians taking a road trip to visit the States and were in Arizona to go visit the Big Hole and see what it was all about.  Our names were Liam (Anthony), Ava (Kelsey), and Sophie (Me).  The three of us were friends that met in college, Liam goes to Vancouver University, while Ava and I go to British Colombia University.  You see, Vancouver University is an all boys school, so obviously Ava and I don't go there. But anyways we all met since we are all in a very similar degree direction.
Liam is an independent film maker, he currently made a film which was a huge hit! (Ava and I were cast as extras, our first big break!) Well anyways, the movie was so good, a big time director actually bought the script off of him and that's how he got the money for the road trip.
Ava is watching football and appalled at how 'nice' this sport is compared to hockey
Now Ava is all about fashion.  She is so hip and actually just finished her second wedding as the designer. She is in super high demand in Vancouver. Those weddings is what paid for her road trip.
Now I, myself I am an artist, and with the help of Ava I was able to sell a few of my paintings and thus make money for our road trip!
Also, all three of us drive Peugeots and are really trying to start up a Peugeot club in our colleges. We are SO close. Now the road trip itself is super fun so far. We've got the road trip essentials, salmon jerky and baked beans with maple syrup and lard. It's really all we need to live.  Plus we've got pure maple syrup in our car. You never know when you'll need it.

That being said we made up a few "Canadian" dance moves:
The Caribou: Get out your antlers and DANCE!
Maple Leaf: Pretend to be a happy, care-free maple leaf on a tree blowing in the wind
Icing: Just aggressively pretend to be skating in place
Checking: Cross your arms and pretend to slam someone into an invisible board. Smiling is optional.
The Canada Shuffle: Just shrug your shoulders up and down to the beat. Squinting is optional.
Mounties: Be solemn. Protect the True North.
Not Pictured:
   - High Stick (Dangerous move)
   - Hockey
   - Maple Syrup Pour

Don't forget to improvise and make stuff up as you go....

To make sure everyone would be convinced that we were from Canada we made sure to follow a few simple rules

1. Be extremely polite and happy at ALL times. Nothing but smiles for us. (Except when doing the Mounties dance move.)

2. Finish most sentences with "eh"

3. Toast to "Canada the TRUE North", "Canucks, It's our year!", and/or "Celine Dion "

All in all it was the best idea I think any of us have ever had. That was the adventure of Ava, Liam, and Sophie, but I have a feeling they'll be back.

OH CANADA! Our home and native land!
